The airport in Cuernavaca, Mexico is officially known as General Mariano Matamoros Airport. The airport is located near the city of Cuernavaca which is about one hour south of Mexico City. The airport offers national air traffic. The airport is a part of the "Mexico City Metro Airport Group" which also inclues airports in the cities of Puebla, Queretaro, Hidalgo, Mexico City and Toluca. The airport has been recently renovated and has modern facilities. The airport has one boarding gate and a small cafe. In addition, there is also an ATM machine at the airport. The Cuernavaca Airport is owned by the Mexican government and opertaed by "Aeropuertos y Servicios Auxiliares".
The airport has two main airlines which are AVOLAR and VIVA AEROBUS. Avolar has service to and from the city of Tijuana. Viva Aerobus has service to and from the city of Monterrey.
